Why is Eastbourne Swimming Club Important to you?
Eastbourne swimming club is important to me because the environment and coaching allows me to be the best I can be. Training at Eastbourne Swimming Club has made me realise that Swimming is never an individual sport. The social aspect of swimming not only benefits wellbeing but also performance

Why is Eastbourne Swimming Club Important to you?
I haven’t been with the club for that long compared to others, but as soon as I joined, I felt welcomed and supported. I have made many great and lifelong friends through ESC, with whom I feel comfortable to talk and be with. Everyone, including the coaches and Team managers always make sure spirits are high and people feel encouraged to try their best, even when they’re not feeling like they can, creating a community people can trust, enjoy and feel safe in. ESC has helped me grow as a person, mentally and physically, improving my determination and dedication toward the sport. Physically ESC has supported me with my medical condition, always making sure that I am not over-pushing my limits and that I’m supported with what I struggle to do. Mentally, ESC has made me a better person who has more confidence that I can do things even if I don’t believe I can. Overall, the club has become a second family to me, and feel fortunate to have them.
As the junior captain this year, I will try my best to support younger swimmers and make them feel comfortable and confident when competing, aiming to make them feel as welcomed as possible, just as I was when I first started out.

Why is Eastbourne Swimming Club Important to you?
I have been with the club since I was 8 years old and I can really say it feels like home. I have made great and lifelong friends and always feel supported from those around me - from the coaches for feedback or friends for good spirits, everyone helps and encourages those around them, creating a great community and morale.
I have gone through the stages and developed lifelong skills through swimming and has enabled me to grow in confidence and resilience not to give up. I have been and grown with ESC over the years and I have great hopes for the future.
As Junior Boys Captain this year I feel privileged to support young swimmers feel at home and encourage them to be the best they can be.
